Lady Molly couldn’t get it done for us yesterday at Indiana Grand, but the Cornfather was right on with whoever made the lead would win the race. He just had the wrong horse (not a big deal). Anyway, we get back to the big boy tracks midweek and we’ll see what price pony the Cornfather has up his sleeve.
Race 5: 6 ½ Furlongs F.Clm30000n2L
#1 White Gold (9/2) – In a nice full field of 10, this is a nice dirt claimer betting race and the Cornfather loves the filly on the rail. She ran 2nd of a short layoff with a troubled trip last start and has the highest dirt speed figures among today’s starters. She posted a solid work coming in and she should have no problem clearing to the lead with much slower horses drawn to her outside. You add up a hot trainer/jockey combo and what has been a strong rail so far at Keeneland and you get the Cornfather’s Pony of the day. Lock It Up.
