Monday’s Pony of the Day: Race 7 at Laurel Park

Race 7: 1 1/8 Mile. (Turf) OClm 25000

#6 Lead By Example (12/1) – The Cornfather picked out a nice 11 horse turf race to hone in on to start the week.   To say this field is lacking in talent would be an understatement, but it looks to be a wide-open betting race, which is all we care about.  The Cornfather landed on a New York shipper in here and is salivating over it.  The #6 Lead By Example finally gets some class relief in here and has the best late kick in this field.  In his last race at Saratoga, he made up 3 lengths down the stretch despite having zero pace to run at.  The added distance should help him today as well as a weight break with a competent bug rider.  No disrespect to the morning line maker, but if we get 12/1 on this gelding the Cornfather will eat his hat.  Anything over 5/1 will do on the win end.

Win #6 Lead By Example (12/1) Win Bet over 5/1, key 1st and 2nd in the exacta, single final leg of pick 3
