Race 8: 1 Mile (Turf) 6:50pm
The Cornfather doesn’t think this is a very talented crop of US juveniles and thinks the foreign shippers have a big chance, most notedly #7 James Garfield (6/1). However, the Cornfather’s top pick and key horse comes from the good ol’ USA. #8 Voting Control’s (8/1) debut win two starts back was the best race anyone has run in this field. In his 2nd career race last time, he was squeezed at the start and wide all the way around the track. He still finished a hard charging 2nd that day and will be another Chad Brown runner that the Cornfather can’t wait to play. If he goes off higher than 5/1 the Cornfather will back up the Brinks truck.
