Thursday Night Recap

NFL (0-0-1)

Car Payment Play: Seattle -6

What a roller coaster of emotions.  We get this ridiculous play to go up 22-10 in the 4th quarter:

Then Seattle plays classic prevent defense with 2 minutes left and Drew Stanton, who was inept all game (as the Cornfather predicted), marches right down the field for a Cardinals TD.  It looked like a backdoor and a #Sad ending, but the blocked extra point gave everyone a push.  All that for no blood, that’s not good for the Cornfather’s health.

NCAA Football (1-1)

Lunch Money Play: Pittsburgh -9

Car Payment Play: Over 50.5

UNC won the game outright, but car payments are certainly better than lunch money.

NBA (0-2)

Lunch Money Plays: Houston -5.5 vs Cleveland,  Oklahoma City -1 @ Denver

Houston won the game, but couldn’t cover the 5.5 and the Thunder stink at basketball.  Until the Cornfather sees them play some semblance of functional offense, there on the Cornfather’s bet against list.

Horse Racing (0-1)

Pony of the Day #6 Call Me a Star (10/1) – He broke last and lost all chance, finishing 7th in race 8 at Aqueduct.  Not the Cornfather’s best pick.

It was a slightly down day for the Cornfather, but we still have that mortgage in our pocket from yesterday.  Now the weekend is here and the real fun starts.
