Race 8: 7 Furlongs. Clm 25000n3L
Pony of the Day #11 Nate’s Tizzy (6/1) – This gelding is a wild card, but he possesses the most talent in this field. Once trained by Bobby Baffert, Nate’s Tizzy has run some huge races in his 5 career starts. His problem is he can’t stay on the racetrack. In his first start this year at Belmont he chased a fast pace before tiring badly against much stiffer competition. He did show good early speed however, which is a sign that he may have something left in the tank. He should improve in his 2nd start off the layoff for trainer James Lawrence II, who hits at 19% with a +$1.25 ROI in these situations. The Cornfather thinks he’ll either run last or first, but at 7/2 or higher he will most certainly take a shot.
