Thursday’s NFL, NBA and Horse Racing Recap

NFL (1-1)

Final Score: Tennessee 17 Pittsburgh 40

Lunch Money Play: Pittsburgh -7, Car Payment Play: Under 44

The Cornfather was spot on that Tennessee was warm weather team, he just didn’t think the Steelers would hang 40 on them.  Have some pride.

NBA (1-1)

Final Score: Boston 92 Golden State 88

Lunch Money Play: Golden State -7.5, Car Payment Play: Golden State -3.5 1st Half

The Cornfather was right on the money that the Warriors would come out swinging, he just didn’t think they would collapse as bad late.  They built a 17-point lead that got dwindled down to 5 at the half.  The Celtics kept chipping away despite Marcus Smart’s best efforts to sabotage his own team.  Boston played good defense and Golden State looked out of sorts offensively all night.  It was a very weird game where neither Kyrie or Steph played well offensively.  The Cornfather isn’t sure what to make of it going forward, but the Celtic’s streak rolls on.

Horse Racing (1: 0-0-1)

Pony of the Day #2 Desert Domination went off at 18/1 and just missed 2nd by a nose.  The favorite dominated the field, but 3rd at that number made us a little money if you had the trifecta that paid $141 for 1$.  I love that the Cornfather keeps going for bombs.

All in all, another even day that the Cornfather hates so much.
