With the lack of college sports action tonight, the Cornfather decided to be even more generous with his pony plays. His Pony of the Day yesterday finished 2nd at odds of 4/1 and he’s giving us the Late Pick Four at Los Alamitos today. He is truly the most giving man I have ever met. What a treat on a Friday.
Race 5: 1 Mile. F.Alw 12500s
#1 Tizway That Way (5/2) – In her last race on turf, she ran a monstrous effort at 26/1 to get 2nd. She pressed a fast pace verse better competition that day and she will run tough in here.
#3 Exactamente (3/1) – This is the filly to beat as far as the Cornfather is concerned. She loves to win races and is hard to run by when she has the lead. Trainer Jonathon Wong also wins at a ridiculous 36% with a positive ROI when shipping horses from Golden Gate to dirt tracks.
#5 Jill Madden (5/1) – The only other horse the Cornfather will use in this race is the filly exiting an open length victory. The short layoff concerns the Cornfather a little bit, but she’s worked consistently leading up to today. If she runs her best, she’ll have every chance.
Race 6: 5 Furlongs. Clm6250
The Cornfather thinks this sprint is open to chaos. He can’t separate this bunch and he’ll be rooting for a big price.
Race 7: 5 ½ Furlongs. F.S.OC 20000n1x
Pony of the Day #7 Dreamy Gal (3/1) – This filly was favored at this level last race and finished a 7th after having a troubled trip. She was in tight, between horses and the Cornfather can forgive her for that effort. Her races prior lay over this field and if she’s herself she’ll get the job done. She draws a nice outside post today and the Cornfather loves her.
Race 8: 6 Furlongs. F.Mdn 40k
#1 Ahisma (7/2) – Trainer Peter Eurton doesn’t win too much with debut runners, but Mike Smith doesn’t take mounts that don’t have a big chance to win. The Cornfather knows this one’s live.
#4 Raising Aida (9/2) – She was purchased at the Keeneland sale for 175k. She is well bred and Baffert is a ridiculous 6/12 so far, this meet. Your insane if you leave a Baffert firster out.
#6 Loving Moment (6/1) – Trainer Phil D’Amato has a +0.51 ROI on 1st tuime starters this year. This filly is well-bred and her Sire wins at an 18% clip with 1st time starters. She’s worked wll leading up to today and the Cornfather can’t leave her out.
Late Pick 4: 1,3,5 / 1-8 / 7 / 1,4,6
