I apologize for the lack of picks in the last few days. The Cornfather has been hot as always, but he’s had me doing more behind the scenes work to kick this site into over drive. We had to sacrifice short term gains for long term success. After Christmas, there will be more content, more segments and more video. The Cornfather wants everyone to win. It’s an exciting time to be his scribe and I can’t wait to see what he has in store. In the meantime, let’s get back to our regularly scheduled winners. Let’s Eat.
Lunch Money Plays
Charlotte +2 vs Toronto – The Raptors are 9-1 in their last 10 gamed, but they couldn’t have played a weaker schedule. They haven’t beaten a team with a winning record in that span. Charlotte is solid at home and the spread only being 2 is baiting all the simpletons to take the Raptors. The Corfather would never fall for such an obvious trap. The home dog barks.
Brooklyn -5 vs Sacramento – The Kings got a nice road win in Philadelphia last night, but now they must go to Brooklyn for their fourth road game in a row. On a back to back, they’ll be dead and the Nets are fresh and ready to go. Brooklyn will win comfortably at home.
Denver -2 vs Minnesota – Despite their talented roster, the Timberwolves have still been up and down all year. The Nuggets have impressed the Cornfather with their recent play and they don’t lose games at home. The Cornfather loves betting on the air as we’ve seen before.
San Antonio +2 @ Portland – Kawhi is back out for the Spurs, but they’ve won in his absence all year. They will give Portland all they can handle and they always seem to win these pickem type games no matter who is on the floor. San Antonio’s bigs will also eat the Blazer’s front court for lunch.
Phoenix +4.5 @ LA Clippers – Without Blake on the floor and the rest of their injuries, the Clippers have one of the worst rosters in the NBA. They shouldn’t be 4.5 point favorites against any team with the lineup they’re trotting out tonight.
